13-4:
Beams of spotlights can be masked, producing a hard-edged cut-off pattern. Accessories of this technique are barn doors and flags. Barn doors are pairs of metal that are hinged to the sides and/or top as well as bottom edges of the lamp.
13-5:
Diffusion lighting is similiar to a filter in which it is softening material in front of the screen. On our interview, we did use milk-white plastic to cover our spotlights. It was installed into metal rings and placed in holders.
