Do Now 2: 11-30

6.1:

There are quite a few differences in appearance between a fade and a dissolve.  A fade-in begins with a black screen and gradually lightens until the image can reach full brightness. A fade-out is the opposite of a fade-in.  On the contrary, a dissolve is used as an effect in which one image is gradually replaced by another.  A dissolve is used instead of a fade to indicate a shorter break in the action.
